About Shannon
I'm Shannon Niaves-Davis, an experienced educator, healthcare professional, educational leader, and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of combined experience in healthcare, education, and school administration. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine and spent 15 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist before pursuing my passion for education. For the past decade, I have served as a Health Science teacher at Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions while also supporting student success as a Registrar, PEIMS Coordinator, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Administrator.
In addition to my work in education, I am the founder and owner of Wisdom and Wonders 4 Kids, an educational enrichment company that partners with community recreation centers to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences for children ages 4–14. Through my signature programs, Doctor 4 A Day and STEM Explorers, students discover the exciting worlds of medicine, science, technology, and engineering through interactive activities that promote discovery, creativity, critical thinking, and imagination. My goal is to spark curiosity, inspire a love of learning, and help every child see themselves as a future scientist, engineer, healthcare professional, or innovator.
Whether I am tutoring students one-on-one, mentoring future healthcare professionals, or leading STEM enrichment classes, I am committed to helping every learner build confidence, master challenging concepts, and reach their fullest potential. I believe that with the right encouragement, engaging instruction, and personalized support, every student can succeed both academically and in life.
My mission is simple: to inspire curiosity, cultivate confidence, and prepare students with the knowledge and skills they need to become tomorrow's leaders and lifelong learners.
