About Janna
I am an Arts student based in Melbourne who is committed to providing an encouraging and supportive environment for learning English and Literature. I have been giving private lessons for 2 years and I have tutored roughly 5-10 students. I have been able to improve students' grades on a certain test from a C up to a B+ from just a few lessons. I am very excited to work with students who perhaps need some more support and allowing them to reach their full potential.

My teaching method is to break up lessons into different parts depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the student, in order to maximise their growth in minimal time. For example, if a student requires more help with grammar, we will prioritise this over something else such as idea generation. I also recommend that students bring their work they wish to improve upon and we workshop it before I give them a similar task to do independently. My teaching philosophy is to allow my students to flourish amidst the pressures of both school and every day life and providing a work environment that is both fun and harbours results
