About Shreya
I've taken many a math class and participated in a countless number of math competitions throughout my years as a student. I've won the Math Kangaroo silver pin in my state, as well as a couple other honors pertaining to non-curricular math competitions. I've always taken advanced math classes at school, with students older than myself, and I scored 1550 on the SAT, as well a 35 on the ACT. Math has always been a domain of interest to me, and consequently I've become adept with calculations and mathematical thinking. I've tutored my sister, taught SAT Bootcamps through Schoolhouse, and taught concepts to peers at school.

As a high school student myself, I'd argue that I'm entirely in touch with the stress of a demanding math class at school and the anxiety that accompanies it. I've always learned slightly differently than a majority of my peers, and for this reason I am able to make sense of and discern the learning styles of different people. My mother is a high school math teacher, and I tend to employ her student-centric tactics when it comes to teaching math--I'm here to help you build on your background knowledge and use your own thought strategies to make sense of complicated mathematical concepts. I'm open to helping out in areas beginning with very simple arithmetic, up to Pre-Calculus. My target audience is majorly middle schoolers.
