About Sebastian
I am a current MFA candidate in English and Creative Writing at the University of Guelph. I received my BA in English Literature and Cultural Studies from Western University, where I served as Editor-in-Chief of Huron University’s longstanding poetry publication, Grubstreet, for two years. I am very familiar with the inner workings of a writing workshop, and my experience has prepared me to help assist you with your writing journey.

In today’s world, writing can seem like a slippery fish: difficult to catch, and even harder to grasp. It’s my goal to help guide you in casting your lines, but the beauty of your writing and thinking will ultimately come from your own efforts. So much of what makes good writing comes from an ability to think critically, formulate complex and individual thoughts, and translate those into concise and readable prose. We will work through more critical exercises to help further your analytical skills, as well as work directly with your writing to create a lesson plan highly tailored to your individual needs. With my background in English Literature and my experience working as editor-in-chief of a small literary publication, I am fully prepared to help you take your writing to the next level. Whether you are a high school student looking to ace your book report or someone looking for fresh eyes on their poetry manuscript, I’m here to help steer your writing in the best possible direction.
