About Lia
Hi am Lia! I'm from Alberta Canada but grew up in the United Kingdom. I love challenging myself to learn something new. After obtaining my BSc. in Microbiology I challenged myself to complete the Loch Ness Marathon. After this I took up sprint and marathon kayaking, and competed in several events all around Scotland and the UK, bringing home 1st and 2nd place, this led me to becoming a kayak coach. A few years later I knew I wanted to pursue my passion for helping people learn, that is when I enrolled with the International Sport Science Association to obtain my qualifications as a Certified Personal and Group Trainer and Nutritionist along with my level 5 TEFL diploma. A short while later I started teaching STEM to children while teaching adults the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. I love the fact that my lifestyle leaves me open to experience new things and help others. With my experience and education and your desire to learn, together we can build your confidence in science, math, or English as a second language. I am looking forward to speaking to you soon!

I experienced Lia’s expertise when she traveled to my son’s school for weekly STEM sessions. My son always came home with a new fun project or information. I loved hearing about what he learned.
I hired Lia over a month ago and my son's grades have already improved. She is tentative and shows compassion in her teaching. She is on time and comes prepared to teach.
My children did not do well in the school system, we went hybrid and there was miscommunications or incomplete instructions. We find Lia by fluke and couldn't be happier!
