About Marianne
Years ago, I began my musical journey at the Manhattan School of Music, a path that grew into 13 years of performing with the New York Philharmonic. This experience shapes the balance of technique, artistry, and discipline I bring to every lesson.
I emphasize essential skills such as double stops, tuning by ear, intonation, spiccato, staccato bowing, and vibrato to build strong technical foundations. My goal is to help students develop both confidence and musical expression.
Teaching students from 4-year-old beginners to high-school musicians preparing for college auditions is at the heart of my Seattle studio. Working with a wide range of ages and goals allows me to tailor each lesson to every student’s unique journey.

Achieving a polished performance of your RCM repertoire requires precise control over the mechanics of your instrument. Imagine standing in your next audition feeling completely prepared because we have meticulously refined your bowing technique and intonation during our time together.
I offer a 7.0 score framework to ensure your progress aligns with the specific requirements of the syllabus for your grade level. Beginners are invited to book a free trial lesson to gauge their starting level before we commit to a long-term plan. My 13 years of orchestral experience ensures that you receive rigorous and expressive guidance during every minute we spend in the studio. I look forward to hearing you play.
