About Ed
My name is Ed Lopez. I am a singer, specialized in Jazz and other contemporary music. I divide my work as a musician and educator between Spain, Argentina, Mexico and other European countries, mainly.
I am an active musician, which means that I currently participate in several musical projects that include a very wide range of genres and styles. In addition to my personal projects as Ed López, I would like to highlight my collaboration with musicians such as Tango guitarist Ramón Maschio, "Íliber Ensemble" (one of the most valued groups in Early Music in Spain nowadays), "Orquesta de Ida y Vuelta" (Latin and Afro Jazz by Fernando Wilhelmi), among others.
I have been a teacher of Singing and Musical Language for the Fracassi Conservatory (Corrientes, Argentina) and at the School of Music of the Department of Culture of the city of Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), as well as giving private classes, clinics and workshops in several countries in America and Europe. It has been two decades dedicated professionally to music, and more than one teaching and helping other people to find and develop their own voice and style.
The use of modern vocal technique, interpretation, stage presence and musical language are the fundamental pillars on which I base my teaching and learning method. Always with the premise of understanding and respecting physiology to achieve a healthy, coherent and long-term evolution.
