About Syafiq
My teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-centric approach that prioritizes not just academic outcomes but also the individual learner. I believe in teaching students, not just subjects—fostering curiosity, empathy, and confidence alongside skills. While exam mastery is important, I emphasize developing a genuine appreciation of texts, encouraging students to see literature as a mirror of human experience. Each lesson is designed to connect ideas in the text with the student’s own perspectives, nurturing critical thinking and personal growth. Education, to me, is holistic: it should shape both understanding of literature and the student’s broader journey as a learner.

My lessons are designed with a strong student-centric focus, grounded in the MOE syllabus to ensure alignment with school requirements and exam standards. With over a decade of teaching experience, I use a range of online teaching tools to create engaging and dynamic lessons. Each session targets students’ specific problem areas, helping them build confidence and improve grades steadily. Lessons go beyond memorization, encouraging students to critically engage with texts and develop their own interpretations. By blending exam-focused strategies with meaningful discussions, I aim to nurture analytical skills, deeper appreciation of literature, and stronger performance in O-Level examinations.
