About Amelia
I started learning piano at the age of seven, partly because my parents suggested I play an instrument, and the piano seemed to interest me. Throughout my years learning, I found it quite hard to practice and motivate myself to do so. Despite going through piano the hard way with putting off practise, I now have such a great appreciation for what I can do. I would love to be able to share that with students younger than myself and inspire them to love the piano as I do now. I am currently a student at the University of Durham, studying to become a teacher, which I am thoroughly enjoying.

When it comes to teaching, each child will have a different way of learning and they will have techniques that work best for them, so hopefully through harnessing them, they can learn to enjoy it as much as I have. A typical lesson could be either 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the age of your child or the time they have in the day. I have been teaching since January 2020 and have taught pupils in order for them to take exams, which they have all passed and continued to progress onto the next grade. My lessons are more tailored for beginners and those looking to take the prep test and grades 1 to 3.
