About Wren
I am a Piano tutor with over 18 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages, from school children to college learners and working professionals. My goal is to help students develop strong technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence while making learning piano enjoyable and meaningful.
My teaching philosophy is centred on patience, clear instruction, and steady progress. I emphasise building strong fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory. At the same time, I encourage creativity, expression, and a love for music. Lessons are explained in simple English, supported with practical exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning engaging and easy to follow.
I tailor lessons to each student’s pace, age, and goals. For young learners, lessons are interactive and fun to maintain motivation, while for adults and working professionals, sessions are structured, flexible, and focused on achieving objectives. I also provide guidance on home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness.
Many of my students have performed confidently in school and college events, passed graded exams, and continued piano as a lifelong passion. Watching students grow and achieve their musical goals is my most rewarding experience.

I follow a teaching methodology grounded in compassion, supportiveness, and clear communication. I believe that every student learns differently, and my role is to tailor lessons to their pace, style, and goals. In piano lessons, I combine structured technical exercises with creative exploration, helping students develop skill, confidence, and musical understanding.
I break down complex concepts into simple steps and provide demonstrations to ensure clarity. I encourage active participation, experimentation, and problem-solving to make learning engaging. Constructive feedback and positive reinforcement keep students motivated and confident.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same flexible, student-centred approach. My goal is to help students grow academically and creatively, achieve their goals, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning and music.
