About Ramya
I’m a passionate and experienced Biology tutor with a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology and 13 years of teaching experience. My teaching style is interactive and student-centred, designed to make complex scientific concepts clear, engaging, and relevant. I focus on helping students build understanding and confidence through discussion, visual learning, and plenty of exam-style practice using past paper questions. My teaching style is calm, structured, interactive and student-centred. I focus on building understanding before memorisation, ensuring each student truly grasps key biological concepts. I tailor every session to individual learning needs — identifying strengths, addressing gaps, and using past exam questions to build confidence and exam technique. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to achieve their best. My approach combines deep understanding with strategic exam preparation. I guide students through key content and focus heavily on exam techniques, including how to interpret questions, plan answers, and use marking schemes effectively. I track progress carefully, adapt lessons to each learner, and use targeted feedback to help students move from uncertainty to excellence
