About Mario
Mario Simon is a Boston-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and arranger who has had a lifelong passion for music. With experience in Hip-hop, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, and R&B, Mario is passionate about exploring every facet of the music industry. Mario's musical journey started at a young age with the piano. By age 10, he had picked up drums, bass, and guitar. Also passionate about singing, he practiced that as well. That determination earned him the chance to sing the national anthem during a Boston Celtics game at the TD Garden arena, with a group, at age 15. Ultimately, he fell in love with songwriting, and soon later that year, he released his first song, "Truth About Life," under the stage name Marzs. Mario has had many performance opportunities, through his work at school and with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BERKSHIRE PARTNERS BLUE HILL CLUB). Including performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, The Strand Theater in Boston, and The Berklee Performance Center, all before he was 18 years old. Mario continued his musical journey in college, by entering Berklee College of Music in Boston with a scholarship. At Berklee he double majored in Songwriting and Contemporary Writing and Production, graduating in 2024. Mario is looking to continue his musical journey through a combination of collaborations, commissions, and solo projects.

Mario is a wonderfully talented musician, but their main talent is their patience, kindness, and willingness to meet students where they are and help support them as they progress. It's rare to have an individual who can both play music well and also teach it to others well. Cannot recommend them enough to anyone learning music.
My experience with Mario was tremendous. They are extremely talented at a variety of instruments and musical composition. They're an amazing instructor with patience, kindness, respect, and courtesy. They are intelligent and highly skilled and able to help you grow to your full potential. I highly recommend them to everyone!
