About Joseph
Personal statement
Professional musician with nearly two decades of experience as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I picked up my first guitar at the age of ten and since then have developed my proficiency on a wide range of instruments including guitar, bass guitar, drums, keys, mandolin, and violin.
I was awarded a merit-based scholarship to study at the Los Angeles College of Music in 2018 and have performed in many bands over the years on a wide range of instruments. My teaching experience spans over a decade in which I have taught students how to become proficient on the guitar, bass guitar, drums and piano/keys, preparing them for formal examinations if they desire this.
For several years I have worked as a session musician and songwriter, writing and performing on more than 200 songs for DJs, producers and artists. I am passionate about sharing my love of music with students and have a very laid-back approach to teaching as I believe this fosters creativity and a learning environment that sees students progress much more quickly than usual timeframes.

Lessons are typically 45 minutes long but can be either 30 minutes or one hour if preferred.
Studied at the Los Angeles College of Music in 2018 on a merit-based scholarship, honing my skills and developing my knowledge of theory. I teach grades one through four in the ABRSM curriculum.
My lessons are typically comprised of new starters and those early on in their musical studies.

Joe is one of the most talented musicians I know being advanced in playing guitar, bass, drums, keys; his voice will leave you speachless and his songwriting skills are amazing.
Considering all of this knowledge and expertise he's the best teacher you can get since he fully understands the dynamics of playing an instrument solo or in an ensemble. He's also very patient and he doesn' overwhelm you with too much information. Lessons are delivered at the right pace.
Can't reccommend him enough!!Joseph is a very patient and dedicated tutor, I really enjoyed getting to practice my favorite songs with him!
