About Odelia
Hello! I studied music theory for 6 years give or take, and I’ve been playing violin for about 12 years now (it’s been a while, I forget). I started in 5th grade and wanted to play viola, but my school wouldn’t let me and I ended up sticking with and enjoying violin instead! Along the way I ended up learning to play a little bit of 4 other instruments, but violin is my primary and best instrument. Violin is not my profession, and I’m hoping to focus my attention on beginners so as to teach good habits and help them enjoy the instrument willingly!

As an orchestral violinist, you learn to listen to the bigger picture, and understand the part you play. As a soloist, you learn to convey emotion and play with no one backing you up. Either way, you must know and understand basic music theory; this will make your life so much easier! I want to inspire new violinists to keep playing because they want to and enjoy it; not because they were told to or forced.
