Offers 30 minute-1 hour lessons working through the ABRSM curriculum to develop outstanding practical abilities on the violin whilst fostering a substantial understanding of music theory. For beginners, I will lay the groundwork of the fundamental techniques using books such as 'Technique Takes Off!'. We will also work through the 'Fiddle Time' books by Kathy and David Blackwell, encouraging a sense of achievement and pride in our performance as the student learns familiar tunes. For intermediate and advanced students, I will cater to the individual's levels and musical preferences, whether this involves completing grades or developing skills within particular styles such as baroque. I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate and have previous experience tutoring young people. I have an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Cardiff University and have played the violin for 15 years to Grade 8. I have also achieved Grade 5 music theory and Grade 5 piano. Music is at the heart of everything I do and I look forward to helping advance your/your child's musical journey!
