About JingXin
I am a graduate at University of Southampton pursuing a joint degree in BA Music and Business Management. I hold Grade 8 certification in both Piano and Music Theory from ABRSM, and has attained Musicianship Level 4 certification from British Kodály Academy. With over a year of online teaching experience, I am confident in delivering customised lessons that could meet students learning expectations and fulfill their learning outcomes.

Main Area of teaching:
-Ear training and sight-singing lessons that have coverage over ABRSM aural specimen (mainly using Kodály method in teaching)
-Music theory in ABRSM and Rockschool syllabus, both exam and non-exam based (casual)
-Music Improvisation with Kodály method
-Songwriting
All the lessons are tailored based on student’s level and interest. The aim of my teaching is to develop a person's musicianship and to apply the knowledge in practical use. Instead of providing a rigid formula for students to memorise and follow, we would dive deep into the mechanism behind the musical theory and convert those knowledge into what you can apply in everyday life!
