About Katherine
I am a professional music teacher and musician. I have students in both music theory and voice. My main goal is to create an environment that is comfortable and conducive to learning. The voice is a very personal instrument and I recognize how frightening it can be to sing in front of others. I want to assure you that no matter your skill level, I will be more than happy to instruct you on how to achieve your own personal singing goals, whether you sing just for fun or you have your own professional or academic goals you are looking to achieve.

Let's sing together! As an educator, I strive to provide you with the tools necessary for you to achieve your own music goals in an environment that is fun, enjoyable and always free of judgment! I believe that whatever music goals you may have, I can help you achieve them.
A typical first lesson with me consists of:
1) A short assessment: what are your goals, do you have any prior training, what kind of music do you love to make/listen to, etc...
2) Vocal warmups and exercises to get an idea of your voice
3) We sing! We start learning a song and the music making begins!
These lessons are for everyone, no matter the age, needs or skill level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
Everyone has a voice, and everyone can sing!
