About Yant
Most music production lessons focus on replicating other artists' work. I take a different approach by ensuring you have the foundations to allow you to be versatile and build your own sonic vision.
The best thing is to be able to write music on any day, without falling into writer's blocks and transform what is in your head into music.
I use a combination of experimentation workflows, alongside core techniques acquired from experience working with a number of DAWs, Software plugins, Hardware, and many genres of music.
I offer online lessons run via Zoom, for music production, Ableton Live, DJ'ing, and artist development.
My background:
BSc in Sound Engineering & Design. Full time DJ & Electronic Music Producer. 100+ students, 7 years experience teaching, 15+ years making music and DJ'ing. Experience DJ'ing in over 25 countries.
What skill level do my lessons apply to?
Any level of experience, I have taught many students ranging right through from beginners to advanced.

About the lesson

Every student has a different reason for doing this, so firstly I want to understand your goals so that we can make a roadmap of how to get there.
The sessions are 1 to 1 so will always be tailored for your needs. I will adapt the structure based off your learning style and goals. Some students come with no past experience where we build from ground zero. Other students want to work specifically on their own music with my input and guidance. While others want to deep dive into specific topics. Nothing is out of bounds.
After years of teaching and being adaptable, I understand how individual a learning experience is, this is the benefit of 1 to 1 lessons with me.
I use a combination of experimentation workflows, alongside core techniques acquired from experience working with a number of DAWs, Software plugins, Hardware, and many genres of music, along with studying sound engineering at university.
The goal is to be able to write music on any day, without falling into writer's blocks and to be able to transform what is in your head into a finished piece of music.
The lessons run for 2 hours as standard, alternate options can be discussed.
