Nick and I know each other from Brigham Young University - we worked there together for 2 years.
Nick is quick, amiable, knowledgeable, and works hard at his craft. He is well versed in bluegrass, jazz, and classical genres, and has a great understanding of music theory and the guitar fingerboard.
I teach a guitar ensemble that Nick was a part of, and he would work with the other students in making sure their notes and timing were spot on, providing feedback, a metronome, and guidance in their group meetings outside of class. He's a natural leader and helps people excel and grow.

Nicky has worked as a TA for me over the last year at BYU, helping me instruct my beginning and intermediate guitar classes. He is a highly effective teacher with a deep understanding of the instrument, and has the skills to effectively teach guitarists of all levels. I've watched him assess and diagnose issues students have with technique, musicality, and even performance skills. He is patient and able to skillfully walk students through the best methods for overcoming the challenges they face. The students have absolutely loved him.
