About Sam
I am studying Music at Napier University in year three and am a Guitarist, drummer, violinist and pianist all up to at least grade 7 standard. I have had lots of experience performing and in an exam environment so I am able to share my knowledge in these areas. I also have a grade 5 music theory award with ABRSM. I would also be able to tutor high school pupils preparing for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher. I also have experience as a sound engineer and producer, producing my own music, and others.

My teaching method is to firstly have a chat with the student about what types of music they're interested in - this will help me to base the lessons around music that will be enjoyable to the student. I recommend getting the trinity rock and pop guitar book for electric guitarist (grade 1 if just starting off or a higher grade based on prior experience) and we can work through that as it has many great songs of various genres and styles.
