About Antigoni
My name is Antigoni and I come from Cyprus. My passion for music began very early at the age of 6 when I started playing the piano. Since then, I never stopped seeking new experiences that would challenge both my skills as a pianist as well as my knowledge on music theory. A big achievement for me was when I passed my Grade 8 ABRSM exams successfully for both piano and theory as well as the A level of music.
My musical journey continues now at the University of Sheffield where i study music. Studying music provided me with a lot of opportunities to perform and enrich my knowledge and skills. Following the performance module allowed me to perform in a number of concerts in front of an audience, accompany choirs, and individual singers.

Teaching for me is very exciting. I do believe that a teacher is one of the most important factors that help a musician to grow. My way of teaching involves a step by step education into music theory and piano depending on how much the student already knows as well as a further understanding into performance techniques. A lot of musicians no matter how prepare they are, when they perform in public they get anxious and as a result they don't show their abilities to the fullest. Therefore, my teaching will also involve different exercises that will help the student feel more confident during a performance by learning how to manage their stress and anxiety they have on stage.
Finally, by teaching my aim is to help my students mature musically and love music as much as I do.
