About Jami
I was lucky enough to go to an arts high school, so I had a strong grasp of music theory entering college. I had a 98 in AP Music Theory, and passed the exam with a 5. Because of this, I skipped 2 semesters of music theory in college, and began tutoring theory and sight reading when I was 19. I have spent the past 8 years teaching elementary music, including basic theory and notation. I have also continued to teach voice, piano, and theory lessons. I have experience teaching ages as young as 2, and as old as 70! Whoever you are, wherever you are in your music journey, I can help!

I have experience teaching all ages, and am able to help you no matter what level of music theory you are at! Just starting piano, and need help with key signatures? Freshman music major and never had theory before? Brushing up on your skills for your own musicianship? I can help! I can teach the subject from many perspectives, including from the staff or from the piano. I like to spend time working with you and figuring out your learning style, and what approach will work best for you. From there, we will look at what you're wanting to work on, and I will tailor your lessons to match!
