About Alex
I'm Alex, I have been teaching music privately for over 15 years, what began as a way to help fund my lifestyle as a touring musician eventually turned into my career. Since then I have moved into wider education and gained a PGCE to become a qualified teacher. I really enjoy helping others learn and sharing my 20+ years of knowledge of the instruments that I play. With both touring and studio experience I can help you learn to play your instrument to a high standard!

I have a fun and flexible approach to learning to play music, tailoring the session to your interests and needs. I have experience getting clients through grade qualifications using the RSL syllabus, if this is the route you choose to progress. Qualified Teacher with a PGCE and experience in formal education institutions. Lessons are for all ages and experience levels, I have worked in primary schools with children from 6 years old all the way up to private clients of 70 years old. Lessons are usually 1 hour.

Thanks for all the help- Listens well, takes on concepts well and is good putting what he is shown into practice. Main tip for improvement would be frequency of practice at home, just to improve memory and retention of ideas for the next lesson.Alex's response :

Alex is a qualified and experienced musician. He is very friendly and loves to help you learn. He will help you achieve anything you wish and teaches you all the skills needed to become a successful guitarist.
I know Alex from a quite a few years ago when he was in a band with my teenage sons. He is very patient and diligent and loves to see people enjoy their music and do well. He is a sound guy.
Alex is a brilliant guitarist and teacher, he can teach a large range on music and his music taste ask skill has no limits! I would definitely recommend using Alex for learning guitar!
