About Katrina
I’ve been playing piano since I was seven, and music has shaped nearly every part of my life. As a music major with a 4.0 GPA, I’ve completed four theory courses and advanced keyboard skills, and I now tutor college students in music theory. Beyond academics, I’m president of Skidmore’s chapter of We Are Moving the Needle, a nonprofit supporting women, nonbinary, and trans individuals in the music and audio industry. My lessons combine strong technical foundations with creativity—I want students not only to play and understand music, but to feel it. Whether you’re just starting out, building songwriting skills, or looking to deepen your musical understanding, I’ll help you learn at your own pace and develop confidence through curiosity, exploration, and joy.
