About Luiz
I'm a PhD student in biochemistry and a chemistry teacher but I've been playing drums for 6 years and during that time I studied with a private teacher and through online courses. Furthermore, I have a band experience. This also helped me develop my composing and musical skills.
I also play a little bit of guitar and sing. Although they seem like instruments totally unrelated to the drums, trying to learn it helped me a lot with my musical perception and feeling.

Hi, my name is Luiz and I teach drums. I started playing the guitar when I was 12 years old but I stopped playing it. Years later I started studying drums, and I've been playing it ever since.
In classes, I focus to teach songs and help students find their musicality (Playing in time, listening to music, etc...). I also teach concepts such as sheet music reading and music theory.
Classes are at my house with my electronic drums or via webcam.
