About GABRIEL
I've been working with music, shows, recordings and classes for over 15 years. I am very interested in the cultural diversity of Brazil and the world. Teaching and its transformative potential have always caught my attention. At school I observed how differences between teachers' methodologies directly influenced my performance. I had many criticisms of the patriarchal Western education system and little by little I came into contact with great teachers who showed me a new possibility of teaching and learning, in a much more human way, respecting the diversity between people and making learning enjoyable and accessible .
I was born in 1989 and started at the age of 12 I had the opportunity to study drums, percussion and body percussion with great masters such as: Nenê, Edu Ribeiro, Lilian Carmona Douglas Las Casas, Roberto Angerosa, Beto Caldas and Fernando Barba.
I studied at ULM (Free University of Music) and graduated in Drums at EMESP (São Paulo State School of Music).
I'm currently curing the last year of Body Awareness for Musicians, with the Alexander Technique teacher, Eleni Vosniadou, a course that was essential in transforming my way of thinking about the body and allowed me to play with much more ease and with less effort and consequently without pain and injuries, besides learning a lot about fluid and efficient ways of teaching and sharing knowledge.
As a musician I have played on the main stages of São Paulo, in almost all regions of Brazil and in countries like Argentina , Chile and Mozambique, where I also had the opportunity to study the traditional Mozambican instrument Timbila (species of marimba). and I am a teacher and drum master at Bloco Folia de Bonequins.

In a playful, practical and fun way, various subjects related to rhythm, percussion and drums will be worked on, according to the interest of the student, student or student. With methodology inspired by Brazilian and Oriental oral traditions, focusing on listening, vocalizing and singing.
The subjects covered are: rhythmic perception, Brazilian rhythms; Latin Americans; Africans and Americans, motor coordination, independence between limbs, improvisation, reading, techniques, body awareness when touching, breathing, among others.
Lessons can be in person or online, broadcast with high quality video and audio, using more than one camera for better visibility of details and sharing of background material such as videos and sheet music. Lessons can be recorded and saved in a playlist for consultation.
The space is equipped with several percussion instruments, 2 drums, and equipment for audio and video playback and recording.

Mais do que o músico talentosíssimo que é, o Gabriel é uma pessoa apaixonante e apaixonada pela música e todas as suas expressões. Como professor, sabe falar a linguagem do aluno, transformando o complexo em algo simples e intuitivo. Recomendo muito suas aulas pra pessoas de todos os níveis de conhecimento musical.
Recomendo a todos as aulas do Gabriel! Sua forma de ensinar é muito maleável a forma que o aluno melhor aprende.
