About Brendan
I'm a guitar player who composes original works and has over 3 years of music theory and guitar teaching experience. Many of my past students have received marks above 90% in both RCM classical guitar and music theory. I will work hard to instill a lifelong passion for music in every student.

About the lesson

Music Theory Lesson Plan :
-read a chapter of an RCM music theory book
-do written music notation exercises
-play the musical examples on guitar or piano
-after completing the whole book, do practice exams
-take an RCM exam if desired
Guitar Lesson Plan :
-first, decide if an acoustic guitar (steel string) or classical guitar (nylon string) style is going to be learned
-practice scales and arpeggios to warm up
-look over a piece of written music to see the fingering
-work through the piece up to performance level
-find any opportunities for showcasing the piece of music to an audience
