About Syakila
Hi, I'm Syakila — a Social Work graduate from Nanyang Polytechnic with a strong interest in languages. My strengths have always been in the humanities and languages! I enjoy helping students express themselves clearly and confidently. I’ve worked with students from Primary 1 to Secondary 4 through volunteer tutoring, and I always aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and most importantly, tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether you want to strengthen your basics or dive deeper into literature, I’m here to help you grow!

My Approach to Tutoring
I create a calm, supportive space where students feel safe to learn, ask questions, and build confidence. My teaching adapts to each student’s pace and learning style—whether they need help with grammar, writing, comprehension, or literary analysis. I focus on building strong language foundations, encouraging critical thinking and making lessons engaging through discussion and real-life examples. I often prepare slides and learning materials for my students :)
