About Tina
Hi! I’m Tina, a native Chinese speaker from Guangzhou, China, and I’m currently a university student in Australia. Growing up in China, Mandarin has always been part of my everyday life, and I’d love to help others discover not only the language but also Chinese culture.
I’m friendly, patient and easy-going, and I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging or even a little embarrassing when speaking. I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and practicing at their own pace.
I especially enjoy meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and sharing languages and experiences. My goal is to make learning Chinese practical, enjoyable and encouraging, while helping you become more confident speaking Mandarin in real-life situations.
Whether you are completely new to Chinese or simply want someone to practice conversation with, I’d be very happy to learn and improve together with you!

As a native Chinese speaker, I focus on helping students learn practical and natural Mandarin that they can actually use in real-life conversations. My lessons are friendly, relaxed and personalised to each student’s level and learning goals.
For beginners, I can help you build a strong foundation in pronunciation, Pinyin, tones, vocabulary, basic grammar and everyday conversation. For students who already know some Chinese, we can focus more on speaking practice, listening, pronunciation correction and expressing yourself more naturally.
A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, and I will adjust the content and pace depending on your needs. I especially enjoy creating a comfortable environment where students are not afraid of making mistakes — making mistakes is part of learning!
My lessons are suitable for beginners, students and anyone interested in improving their conversational Mandarin or learning more about Chinese language and culture.
