I enjoy singing and writing, which allows me to bring creativity into my lessons and make learning Chinese more engaging and memorable. I am a native Chinese speaker and I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive, and practical learning environment. My teaching approach is student-centred, meaning I adapt each lesson to the learner’s goals, level, and interests. I emphasise real-life communication, helping students build confidence in speaking and listening through everyday conversations, pronunciation practice, and useful vocabulary.
I use a mix of techniques including guided conversation, role-play, repetition, and simple reading and writing exercises. For beginners, I focus on pronunciation (pinyin), basic sentence structures, and essential vocabulary. For more advanced learners, I introduce more complex grammar, cultural context, and natural expressions.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I can also offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s needs. Each lesson usually includes review, new content, and speaking practice to ensure steady progress.
I am patient, encouraging, and experienced in helping learners feel comfortable using Chinese in real situations.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, GCSE students, and adults who want to learn Chinese for travel, work, or personal interest. I welcome students of all ages and background.
