About Victoria
Hi!
I’m Vic, I am a French and English as a Foreign Language tutor! I am a native French speaker with full English proficiency. I earned a French Baccalaureate in France, and I then came to study in the UK, completing a degree in Popular Music, and I have now just finished my masters focusing on Sociology and Culture. I have been volunteering for a charity organization providing free English lessons for foreign speakers for a year now.
Through my background and experience, I am a dedicated tutor willing to accompany students in their learning at any step of the process. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for languages with learners of any level and I am keen on reflecting this through my teaching.
I like to run my lessons through a blended approach, within which the learners engages with languages in all their aspects. Beyond traditional grammar lesson exercises, my teaching also includes reading, writing, listening and speaking according to the student’s needs and interests. I believe this makes a big difference when learning; it helps keeping the lessons dynamic, it makes the process enjoyable and more efficient! I am also able to help students with homework or to prepare for exams. Overall, I am keen on adapting to students and helping them make the best of the lessons.

I am a dedicated tutor who puts the student first. I am keen on adapting to each student's needs and offer them lessons which ressemble them. I like approaching my lessons with a great range of materials and methods. This way, I can help my students engage with every aspect of the language (speaking, listening, writing, reading, culture). Depending on what my student would like to focus on, we may study grammar, have conversations or look at real-life French material to spark engagement with and interest in the language. My lessons typically run for an hour but I am happy to extend this time if needed.
I have been a tutor for a year now, teaching both French and English as a foreign language.
I can cater to all levels and ages.

Perfect! She very openly listened to what I wanted to achieve with my lessons and I'm finding my use of verbal French is improving well as a result. She's also super patient with my inability to string sentences quickly, which is getting me used to using my vocab skills on the fly. She's also a delight to learn with can't recommend more!
