About Sara
I’m a native French speaker from Belgium, where I was born and raised. I studied in French at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, as well as worked in French speaking environments. I am absolutely passionate about languages and their syntax, hence the reason why I’m currently studying a master of applied linguistics at the University of Melbourne. During this degree, I have learnt and designed studies investigating language learners’ patterns of acquisition and teachers’ practices. I also hold two degrees in accounting and currently teach accounting and business English at tertiary level, both to native and non-native English speakers. I would really like to help you hone your French communication skills, and ensure you are ready to exchange with other native French speakers, whether abroad or in your educational or professional environment.

I always cater my lessons to my students’ needs. I can help you build a richer vocabulary in many expert domains, including business and linguistics, as well as in more general repertoires, such as food, travel, and cinema. I can also help you with your French grammar, conjugation, idioms, and slang. Ultimately, I will help you become a more effective communicator and hone your speaking skills. My teaching style is friendly and casual as I believe learning whilst having fun yields better learning outcomes and retention. Francophone cultures are also included in my lessons as one cannot learn a language without learning it’s culture(s).
