About Gavin
Bonjour! My name is Gavin, and I'm thrilled to embark on this exciting journey of teaching French with you. I come from the beautiful island of Mauritius, and my family also has roots in Brittany, France.
I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in the UK, where I have had the wonderful opportunity to share my love for the French language and culture with many friends and fellow students.
My passion for teaching French began when I started helping my friends learn the language. Seeing their progress and excitement as they began to understand and communicate in French was incredibly rewarding. This experience ignited a deep passion within me to help others discover the beauty of the French language and culture. Teaching French allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and share the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of the Francophone world.
I have extensive experience in teaching French to learners of various levels. I have taught friends from beginner to intermediate levels and also had the opportunity to help teach French as a second language at my university, gaining invaluable classroom experience.
Additionally, I hold the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) certification, which attests to my proficiency in the French language and my ability to provide high-quality instruction.
My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on interactive and communicative methods. I believe in immersing students in the language through practical usage, real-life scenarios, and cultural context. My lessons are tailored to meet your individual needs and preferences, ensuring a personalised and effective learning experience.
