About Flavia
I'm a 3rd year student of a Double Degree in Italian Studies and History of Art between Ca' Foscari (University of Venice) and UCL (University College London). So far, I have developed a real passion for what I'm studying. For this reason, not only I actively participate in the university life, being a member of the Italian Society, the Photography Society and the Art History Society, but I particularly care about keeping in touch with the outer world. To mediate between the academic and non-academic world I often go to the Institute of Italian Culture in London to keep up with the latest linguistics and literary debates.
My aim is to help other students to get passionate and more knowledgeable about Italian grammar. Italian might seem scary sometimes, but with the right guide and exercises it won't be too difficult.
Having done some experience in the field, I can tell that students learn and improve better in a friendly and passionate environment, where they can actively interact. My teaching approach is a friendly pact of giving and receiving, interaction is fundamental in this sense and it is encouraged throughout the lesson.

With private tutoring, my aim is to provide students with an up-to-date communicating approach. Starting from the basic grammar knowledge, my lessons are designed to build up expertise in listening, writing and speaking in Italian gradually, but effectively. For this reason I will prepare interactive lessons , to engage students with both Italian grammar syntax and language.
Typically, my lessons would last for one hour, according to the students' needs.
I have experience in tutoring Italian secondary school students aged between 14 to 18 years old. Being patient and outgoing, I'm open to teach Italian to all levels. I'm a 3rd year student of a Double Degree in Italian Studies and History of Art at UCL. To this extent, Italian not only is my native language, but it is also my area of interest and academic investigation.

Perfect! As an absolute beginner with a busy schedule, Flavia was very patient and nurturing. Flavia struck a perfect balance between allowing me to learn the language at my own speed as well as encouraging me to practice and checking in on my development at all stages. Flavia's wide knowledge of linguistics/ sentence structures really helped at the early stages when the grammar was very difficult to get my head around and Flavia gave me confidence to bring Italian into my everyday life by encouraging conversation during lesson time, as well as outside, with voice notes and regular homework exercises that covered topics discussed in previous lessons. Flavia also corrected the homework and offered insight into Italian life/culture that is hard to find in a textbook! Well recommended!

Flavia is a great tutor! She was very friendly and made me feel very welcome and at home while speaking to her.
