About Elena
I am a trained actor and dramaturg from the province around Venice. I moved to the UK to pursue my acting career and study. I graduated from high school majoring in Classics and I then attended Roehampton University for my degree in Drama, Theatre and Performance studies. During the pandemic I started teaching Italian, Ancient Greek and Roman Literature as well as acting.

My classes always start with conversation and pronunciation interactive exercises. Different grammar topics are introduced in a personalised manner incorporating exercises that will improve your speaking and vocabulary. Short written exercises are then implemented to sediment the class topic and if so desired homework to be done as practice in between lessons. My classes are usually one hour. I am currently working as a private tutor for A levels students and private adult clients. I have a Classics and Drama degree and I have experience teaching as a guest lecturer at the University of Roehampton.

Elena is such an amazing tutor, she makes the time go by really quickly and she gives great tips on accent etc. Definitely would reccommend!
Elena is a phenomenal Italian teacher. She has such a depth of knowledge of the Italian language and a very calm and patient approach. She also knows so much about the history and culture which makes the lessons even richer. Working with her, my Italian has improved at such a quick rate and more than that my confidence has grown to the point where I feel I can speak with any Italian now! This is all thanks to Elena.
Elena is seriously the best Italian tutor I've ever had. Her classes were straight-forward to follow and she knows exactly what I need to work on to improve. Sometimes Italian with other tutors was a bit unstructured but it has never been that way with Elena. It finally feels like I'm getting the hang of things with her so thank you!
