About Ginevra

I have taught Italian and English for many years, therefore my teaching experience is very wide. I have taught all ages (from kids to professionals), different levels and different necessities.
I studied languages myself, so I perfectly know how hard studying a language can be.
I speak English perfectly, and my French and Spanish are also very good.
I love teaching using the very same methods I used as a language student: working hard whilst having fun.
I am currently working as a Learning Support Assistant at Southport College. I love my job as I love creating very good bonds with my students. I support young people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia etc, and I really take pride in my job.
I love to make a difference in people's lives, and working with vulnerable young adults is teaching me how to make their lives better. Positive reinforcement is my number one rule in my everyday life.
I am an empathic and cheerful person, I am very chatty and incredibly adaptable.
I love pets, I have a big and crazy dog and two cats.
In my free time (when I have some...) I love cooking, reading, writing, listening to music, and I also have an Instagram page called Merseyreads where I review books.
I am currently studying for a L3 qualification to become a fully qualified Teaching Assistant.

About the lesson

I am fully qualified Callan teacher (English).
When it comes to Italian, I do believe communication is extremely important, though it has to be based on a strong grammar. My teaching method is fun, engaging and I take examples from everyday life.
I always try to understand what my students really want and need and try to build up classes accordingly.
If, for instance, a student wants to learn basic Italian for their holidays, I know what vocabulary and grammar to cover.
If someone needs to study business Italian, I try to make my lessons very practical and business based.
If someone wants to learn Italian as a hobby, I make sure that every lesson is fully satisfying with new words, expressions and vocabulary to revise.

Leigh

I am currently learning Italian with Ginevra. She is an excellent professional, who is patient and understanding. She has a great ability to breakdown and describe the often confusing structure of Italian grammar.

I often make a lot of mistakes when speaking foreign languages, but she often encourages that mistakes are all part of the learning process. Her sessions are always full of good humour, and have a wealth of cultural knowledge and association. She's a very flexible tutor and was happy to adjust her lesson plans to accommodate my specific learning goals.
