About Mary
Hi! I’m Mary, a native Japanese speaker from Japan.
I am a qualified childcare professional with experience supporting children, including children with different developmental needs. I enjoy helping children learn in a fun and positive way.
I also have a qualification as a tour conductor in Japan and experience as a local guide, so I love sharing Japanese language, culture and travel tips.
I visited New Zealand in 2025 and fell in love with the country and its people. I’m hoping to live in New Zealand in the near future.
I would love to connect with people in New Zealand through Japanese lessons and help you enjoy learning about Japan!

Children can enjoy learning Japanese through simple conversation, games and Japanese culture. I have experience supporting children with different developmental needs, so I can adapt lessons to each child’s learning style and pace.
