About Mina
I have been a Farsi Teacher for 5 years and as a native Persian speaker I love our beautiful language, culture and traditions. My goal is not only to teach the language but to spread the word about Iran and so many amazing things including our food and music and give everyone a real taste of everything Persia. As someone who is married to a non-Iranian I have also come to realise how important it is for couples and in-laws to be able to communicate and build bridges between families. My teaching has allowed me to do this and it is incredibly satisfying for me and my students. If you have an Iranian partner and want to be able to know them better and talk to your in-laws I can help you If one of your parents is Iranian and you would like to connect with the culture and learn their mother tongue I can help you too If you've heard about Iran and want to visit there and get to know locals and get the most out of your experience Don't look further, because you are in the right place I've got you covered. I am really flexible and patient and I make sure to tailor my classes to the individual students and their personal interests. I prefer to teach each person according to their needs so the first question I will ask you is: Why do you want to learn Farsi? That’s how you will learn Farsi with me step by step and depending on your level! Beginners: I will help you to have basic conversations and make sentences. Intermediate: I will teach you more vocabulary and also make sure you have enough confidence to have a conversation. Advanced: I will teach you more slang and choose day to day subjects to talk about so you can be more aware of Iranian social media

Perfect! Mina is very friendly and encouraging, I feel safe to try new words and sentences and get things wrong and learn how to do it right! Her handouts are really useful as you can make notes on them and use them for practice, it means my partner can practice with me as well as he knows what I am learning. Highly recommend!

Perfect! Mina is amazing! She teaches at a pace you feel comfortable with and boosts your confidence from lesson 1. Lessons are fun and it's really nice that she starts with music and tells you more about persian culture along the way. I'm an extremely shy person with low confidence, however, Mina has given me the boost I need to use what I've learned so far with others. Perfect! I have found Mina to be a phenomenal Farsi tutor! I’m always excited to do our lessons. She’s highly professional but also very friendly and encouraging :) The handouts she gives for lessons are top notch and contain just the right amount of information for each class - not too much, not too little, so you enjoy the learning without feeling stressed. Perfect! I find the material Mina uses is very helpful and breaks down the sentences in Farsi, Finglish and english so that i can understand how to consctruct sentences when in conversation. Mina has a great knowledge of Her native language and is able to explain it in a very simple way to and english speaking person.
I have just completed my second online meeting and have learned so much! Mina uses 4 ways of teaching and helping others understand Her Culture and country, Music, writing, pdf notes and ofcourse speaking the language which is the best part of all!
To those thinking of using Mina as your Tutor you can rest assured you are going to learn and have fun doing so!

She always starts the lesson with a smile on her face and is very prepared with lots of material to go through which is great. In each lesson she uses different exercises to improve my listening, reading, writing and speaking skills which helps massively when learning a language. Mina also includes lot of cultural insights in our lesson which I throughly enjoy and helps a lot as there is more to a language then just learning words. Mina is a fabulous tutor - she is patient, knowledgable and kind, with a clear love of (and gift for) teaching. Mina structures her lessons clearly with an excellent mix of conversation, vocabulary and grammar. Mina also makes each lesson enjoyable by using a variety of teaching tools, including music videos, worksheets and roleplays. I have been learning Farsi with Mina for almost four years now and can see how much I have improved during that time, thanks to Mina's wonderful teaching!
Mina is by far the best Farsi tutor I’ve had. I’ve studied with her for a few years now and can say she is adaptable to many levels and topics, from beginner grammar , to intermediate conversation or advanced translation. Whether I need a thorough lesson on a specific topic, or support with casual aspects, Mina is always happy and ready to adapt :) highly recommend!
I've been meeting with Mina once a week for the past two years and my Persian has improved a lot! I primarily meet with her to practice speaking because she is so much more patient than practicing with my family haha. We always have something interesting to talk about, like travel and food. I also really appreciate that she adjusts based on how I am doing and how I am feeling each week. For example if I'm tired and struggling to speak, sometimes we will switch gears and work on reading instead. I highly recommend working with Mina!

Mina is a patient and thoughtful teacher. She provides a nice balance of structure and unstructured tasks and meets you on the level you are at. She keeps language learning interesting and doesn’t judge you if you don’t do your homework!
I struggled to learn conversational Farsi until I met Mina. She understands my challenges yet keeps me moving forward. The progress we've made is the result of her support, patience, and enthusiasm. Her study materials are excellent too. Mina is a gifted teacher. I'm lucky to be her student.
Mina makes the learning of Farsi fun, relaxed and is always offering words of encouragement. She doesn't make you feel silly when you mispronounce something and has so much patience which is very comforting. Even though it's going to be a slow journey, I know Mina is going to be the one to finally help me become conversational with my Iranian side of the family.

I started a company where I needed to communicate frequently with Iranian suppliers. I needed to learn Farsi to enable me to communicate more easily with the suppliers and also to develop better relationships. Mina was recommended to me by a friend and I never looked back. Although I am only at an intermediate level now (after two years), I felt the kind of language taught in the beginning and also the extra cultural tips really made a big difference. Languages were never my forte but Mina is kind and patient and helped me get to where I am now. I appreciate all of her time and effort she obviously puts into each class. Hopefully we can restart face to face classes soon :)
I was so pleased to find the lively Mina to be my Farsi teacher. She is very expressive and supportive for a complete beginner like me, I am sure it's not easy teaching me but she is patient and kind and prepares her classes so thoroughly. I find that her slides are very helpful in the lessons and for my revision so that I have made good progress. I am sure that other students will have fun and be delighted with her classes too.
I had regular 1-1 lessons with Mina for nearly a year before she moved away and I can highly recommend her for anyone wanting to learn the beautiful Persian language. She has done exactly what she promised and I can converse now with locals on my regular trips to Iran. I have tried several different teachers in the past but none have been as good as Mina. Mina has been an amazing teacher helping me to massively improve my conversational speaking. I wanted to be able to talk with relatives and I am very grateful for my rapid improvement which is largely down to her energy and friendly yet effective teaching style focusing on the important parts of conversation.
