  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Polish fluently because it's my native language - it's the language I grew up with, and it's deeply connected to my identity and culture.

As for Italian, I fell in love with the language during my university studies. I've always been passionate about learning languages, traveling, and exploring different cultures, and Italian felt like the perfect combination of beauty, sound, and expressiveness. It was love at first word!
  • Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

When it comes to Polish culture, one of the most emblematic living figures is Olga Tokarczuk - a brilliant writer, Nobel Prize laureate, and an incredibly insightful voice of Polish literature. Her works, translated into over 37 languages, explore complex psychological and cultural themes that reflect the richness of Polish identity.

I always recommend her books to my advanced students - they're not only great linguistically, but also culturally enriching.
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

My favorite language to teach is Italian - not only because of the musicality of its words but also because of its body language. I absolutely adore the gestures Italians use - they're expressive, vivid, and full of personality!

I also love how closely language and food are connected in Italian culture. Just think about how many conversations revolve around pasta, coffee, or Sunday family lunch. It's language full of life, flavor and emotion.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Speaking Polish allows me to stay connected to my roots, traditions, and family history. It's part of who I am.
Italian, on the other hand, is the language of my passion - it brings joy, music, and warmth into my life. It also allows me to connect with people from another culture and to share this love for the language with my students. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone fall in love with a language the way I did.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

Polish is often considered one of the most difficult languages in the world - and I understand why! Complex grammar, tricky pronunciation, and unusual sentence structures can be intimidating.

But with the right guidance and a patient teacher, the process can become much more enjoyable and rewarding. I always focus on creating a safe and encouraging environment where my students feel motivated rather than overwhelmed. Step by step, we build confidence and fluency together.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

When I was studying Italian at university, I signed up for every scholarship and exchange program I could find. I spent time in Italy, learning the language from locals and immersing myself in everyday life - from university lectures to grocery shopping and spontaneous chats at cafés.

Those experiences shaped not only my language skills, but also who I am today. I made lifelong friends and learned the importance of learning language through real-life situations. It made the learning process feel natural, fun and deeply meaningful.
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Traveling is one of the best ways to improve your language skills. When you speak the local language, your experience becomes so much more authentic.

You're no longer a tourist - you become part of the culture. You can order food with confidence, understand humor, ask for directions, and even make local friends.
What's even more rewarding is how people react when they hear you speak their language - their faces light up, and suddenly, there's a deeper connection. That's the real magic of learning languages.
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

I believe it's a mix of academic training, real-life experience, and a genuine love for teaching.
My university studies gave me the foundation to be a professional teacher, but it's my years of working with hundreds of students from all over the world that truly shaped my teaching style.

I adapt my lessons to each student's needs, making them engaging, personal, and practical. I believe learning should be fun and effective - and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students progress, gain confidence, and start speaking freely.
