About Beatriz
Oi! Tudo bom? My name is Beatriz and i was born in Salvador - Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil. I am graduated in the Portuguese language and brazillian literature by the Federal University of Bahia.
I have always been fascinated by the art and passion of learning languages, and because of that i've been dedicated to studying the teaching of Portuguese as a foreign language.
Language and culture are extremely important because they have the power to connect people, and i work towards making the learning process pleasurable, coherent and fit for the necessities and goals of the student.

I am dedicated to building the classes and techniques to fit the necessities of the students, and i believe that learning a new language shouldn't be a restricted process, it can be fun, it can take cultural aspects into account and it should absolutely focus on the actual spoken language.
The platform used for the lessons is Google Meet, and in the first lesson i focus on understanding the level of proficiency of the student, as well as learning about the students motivations, expectations and connection to the Portuguese language.
I am very interested in phonetics, and because of that i often give a lot of attention to pronunciation, to accents (depending on which accent from Brazil the student prefers) and i work with the student to be able to comprehand all the very particular sounds of Portuguese.
Ultimately, i wish to provide fun classes, good and diverse references and recommendations, and a look into the language the way its actually spoken by native speakers.
