About Kamila
Spanish is my first language and I participated in debate competitions in Spanish and English, which gives me a deeper understanding of both and a different perspective to teach them.

As a tutor, I use active learning methods and flexible strategies to achieve satisfactory results. I will always adjust to the student's personal needs.
I encourage speaking and I focus on vocabulary. I use dialogs, short stories, and TV shows as they provide context-rich environments for language learning.
A typical lesson starts with a brief conversation about the topic, and a short dialogue or story about it, highlighting important vocabulary words and practicing reading skills. Then I use audiovisual methods to improve pronunciation, and sometimes I review a short essay in the student's own words about what he learned in that lesson if writing skills are needed. I also provide help with homework.
I will always speak in the language I'm teaching unless the student requests clarification or a deeper understanding.
