About Marco
¡Hola! I'm an enthusiastic native Spanish as a foreign language teacher with 7 years of experience. I worked in secondary schools, language institutes and online language learning platforms, helping students around the world in their learning processes.
I was born in Argentina and I actually started my career as a French teacher, since I have Bachelor's degree in French Teaching. However, soon I added teaching my native language to my professional experience. By doing so I discovered that teaching Spanish gives me an extra joy (that I can barely explain), because it allows me to share with others my own language and my own Hispanic culture, which I am so proud of.
Teaching languages is my passion and it's been my main job for many years. When I give lessons, I especially enjoy discussing cultural topics and having intercultural exchanges. I also really like explaining complex topics, e.g., about grammar or pronunciation, in a very simple way.
During lessons, I'm empathetic and very patient and I take special care that my students feel heard, at ease and respected. A respectful communication will allow us to talk about any topic and whatever interests you. The language class is also a place where students should be able to express themselves and where emotions can arise. That's why, as a professional, I guarantee the confidentiality of everything that happens during our meetings.
As a teacher, the most important for me is to encourage and inspire you to achieve your goals and make your learning journey a very pleasant one. So, I can't wait to meet you and discover what makes YOU feel excited about learning Spanish. ¡Hasta pronto!

Do you want to have everyday conversations with your Colombian in-laws? Do you need to discuss important topics with your future Spanish clients at work? Or maybe you want to improve your pronunciation to impress everyone at karaoke...
I offer lessons to adults of all ages, for all levels and all kind of purposes, e.g., exams, conversation, improving your grammar, writing specific documents, etc. My teaching style is about adapting all my instruction to your specific goals. So, I will prepare a tailored plan for you with the kind of activities that you actually enjoy. This means no pre-made courses that doesn't fit you.
My approach is largely inspired by coaching, which means that you are at the centre of the process and your autonomy and motivation will lead us to your goals. In addition, I take all the useful elements from the many methodologies that I learned throughout my career and put them at your service to ensure an effective and trustworthy instruction.
Typically, I give 1-hour lessons but we can adapt this depending on your needs. The first (totally free) lesson will consist of an interview, where I'll present you more details on my approach and we'll discuss your motivations and needs. After checking we are a good student-teacher match (i.e., that I can actually help you with what you need), we are going to set our objectives, deadlines, learning strategies and class frequency... And we'll be ready to start!
