About Karim
I began giving lessons this year, when I arrived in Sao Paulo. I've taught 4 students in person, and more online.
I hold a degree in Business which makes me the perfect candidate to teach professionals in Sao Paulo. I am also certified by TEFL by i-to-i (LoveTEFL).
I'm working with some colleagues to develop a new school, one with a more vibrant personality. You will form a close relationship with us as teachers, as we believe you will attain fluency through our natural approach.

My name is Karim. I was born in New York but raised in Ireland. I'm European and American, but my heart and soul is international. I love to travel across the globe! I've been to some fascinating places, like Kenya! I'll remember kissing a giraffe there for the rest of my life. I'm half Egyptian, and I've been to Egypt many times (we can chat about ancient Egypt and Egyptology if you like!). I'm currently teaching and residing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but I've been everywhere in between!
At university, I was sure that I did not want to start a career in business. After completing my degree, my heart was set on travelling and helping people learn. I stumbled upon 'TEFL', and decided that this would be an amazing opportunity for me. I took a course with i-to-i (one of the largest providers in the UK), where I became certified to teach. I'll make you feel at ease when we talk. I hold a business degree as well, so I can help you with business English! Let's learn in a relaxed way!
I don't adhere to one teaching style. In fact, I adapt teaching methodologies to the way my students learn. I love to chat with my students and pay attention to their language. From there, I devise lessons based on areas which can be improved. I will supply material, and I will plan lessons accordingly.
Our methodology is based on the idea that you will not learn simply by repetition. I provide a comfortable space where you can converse with me. As we talk, I'll note areas for improvement, which we will then work on your understanding and command of these aspects. We will cover all areas. Talking, writing, listening. Everything you need to visit an English speaking country!

At present, our prices for native English classes are very affordable. This is because we operate from our own personal property. However, in the future, we will look for an official school. That means the price may be subject to a small change in the future, but for now it will remain at that price. If you want the 10-hour package in your own home, add $ 10 to the price per lesson.
