About Kit
Hello! My name is Kit, and I am currently a third-year studying English Language and Japanese at York St. John University. Last year I lived in Japan, where I taught English to university students.
I have also worked at Newbold College, a university in Berkshire, where I helped teach English to 16+ year old foreign speakers, from absolute beginners to people who had been studying English for years.

I actually come from a foreign family, so I have a lot of experience with speakers of other languages! I generally prefer lessons to be casual and light, and alternate the classes between speaking, reading and listening.
With speaking and listening, I usually hold a conversation with the student, and help them move out of their comfort zone, or whatever they're struggling with, instead of enforcing strict grammar and rules they aren't ready for. However, if the technical side of English is your cup of tea, I am experienced in grammar rules, vocabulary etc., and can also help with accent pronunciation and other problems the student might need help with.
