About Isobel
Hi, I’m Isobel, a resident doctor living and working in the NHS in Scotland. I have a real passion for teaching. I love making tricky topics seem simple and working with my students to help them feel more confident in their learning approach. Outside of medicine I’m a keen climber and am generally to be found out of doors. Lessons with me are supportive, relaxed, and tailored to your goals.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, focusing on building understanding first, then reinforcing with exam-style practice. I use active recall, clear explanations, and structured feedback to boost both knowledge and confidence. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though I can adapt for younger students or focused revision sessions. I am an FY2 NHS doctor with a strong academic background in biology and chemistry and several years of mentoring experience, including medical school entry coaching. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students (ages 14–18), as well as applicants preparing for UCAT, interviews, and medical school applications.
