About Asad
Despite what we hear in the news, I absolutely love medicine and working as a doctor! I have the privilege of applying years of preclinical and clinical knowledge on a daily basis, as well as being there for patients on what are often the toughest days of their lives.
I taught medical students throughout my time at university, including preclinical science and clinical skills. As a doctor I have continued this by leading teaching on prescribing skills.
At Imperial, I did my intercalated BSc in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Not only did I develop a network of world leading experts in the field, but I also gained invaluable research skills and the ability to scrutinise the literature to improve my own practice.

I design my own teaching slides using trusted sources and up-to-date medical literature
I keep sessions engaging with quizzes and encourage discussions with my students
I can also arrange bedside teaching at my workplace, as well as mock OSCEs, with personalised feedback and more than just Geeky Medics checklists!
Aside from the above, I am also happy to discuss what it is like working as a doctor and practising the skills we use daily but are never taught at medical school (e.g. job prioritisation, signing a death certificate etc.)
