About Dr NICHOLA
I am a registered nurse qualified in critical, trauma and orthopaedic nursing. My clinical career spanned 24 years working in many critical cares as a staff nurse, sister, ward manager and practice educator. I have worked as a lecturer at Nottingham University since 2003. During this time I have delivered education to pre-registration students at degree and master's level, specialist trauma and critical care courses, Postgraduate and CPD, to registered nurses, doctors, pharmacists, midwives, paramedics and AHP’s. I supervise research students at PhD and master's level working on innovative projects and supporting them to publish and present across the world. For the past two years I have also worked as a Professional Lead for the RCN.

I believe in teaching to each student as an individual. I will help you develop skills in critical analysis, synthesis, evaluation and formation of evidence-based arguments. I feel the student and teacher work best together as a unit allowing the student the development of trust, as we develop your academic skills to underpin your clinical practice.
