About Remy
I’m Remy, a jazz pianist from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, where I was accepted in Year 7. I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life and have learned from incredible mentors including James Morrison and Felix Bornholdt (from Lime Cordiale). Through them, I’ve developed a deep understanding of jazz, performance, and improvisation.

I teach students how to really understand and enjoy jazz piano. My lessons focus on rhythm, harmony, improvisation and how to make the music feel natural. I make sure students know why things sound the way they do, not just how to play them.
Teaching Style:
I show and explain things step by step, then get students to try them out. We listen, play together, and build confidence through practice and creativity. Every lesson is adjusted to suit the student’s level and goals.
Lesson Length:
Lessons usually go for 45 to 60 minutes.
Experience:
I’m an experienced jazz pianist and have a strong understanding of jazz theory, performance and improvisation. I’ve played for years and know how to make learning both clear and enjoyable.

My lessons are for any age or level — whether you’re just starting or already playing and want to get better at jazz and improvising.
