About Thembeka
I am a South African qualified teacher holding qualifications in BCom Business Management, BCom Honors in Financial Management, PGCE and BEd Honors in Special Needs Education. I’ve worked with diverse learners, including ADHD, dyslexia, and autism, taught internationally in China and Turkey and run a home-based literacy and language support program.
I am passionate about teaching because education changes lives. I value giving learners a voice, building confidence and empowering children, especially those with special needs. I believe in quality, equitable education where every learner is supported to succeed.

I believe learning is most effective when learners feel safe, understood and supported. My approach is grounded in individual comfort-based learning, where lessons are adapted to the learner’s pace, emotional readiness and cognitive profile.
I recognize that children, especially those with special needs, learn differently and progress happens when instruction respects these differences rather than forcing uniform methods.
My teaching style is learner-centered, structured and adaptive. I assess each learner’s strengths, needs and learning barriers before designing individualized strategies.
Lessons are broken down into manageable sections using clear explanations, repetition where necessary and practical examples to ensure understanding.
