About Joshua

I'm a New York-based actor actively training, auditioning, and building my career while helping other performers develop their craft.

My acting background includes training in Stella Adler and Meisner techniques, along with practical experience working on scenes, auditions, and self-tapes. I also work as a reader on WeAudition, supporting actors as they rehearse and prepare their audition material.

I enjoy working with beginners and developing actors who want a collaborative environment to explore characters, make stronger acting choices, and become more confident with their material.

My approach is actor-to-actor: practical, supportive, and focused on understanding the circumstances, relationships, and intentions behind a scene. Rather than simply telling you how to perform, I help you explore different choices and discover what feels truthful and effective for the character.

About the lesson

Every acting session is built around your individual goals, experience, and the material you want to explore.

Whether you're preparing for an audition, working on a scene, or looking to develop your acting skills, we'll start by identifying what you want to accomplish and work together from there.

Depending on your needs, we can focus on:

- Scene study and script analysis: Understanding the circumstances, relationships, objectives, and intentions behind a scene.
- Audition and self-tape preparation: Exploring acting choices, strengthening your performance, and becoming more comfortable on camera.
- Monologues and cold reading: Developing confidence when approaching new material.
- Character development: Exploring different choices, listening, reacting, and connecting truthfully with your scene partner.
- Memorization and rehearsal: Finding practical ways to learn your lines and prepare your material.

I can also serve as your reader for rehearsals and self-tapes, giving you the opportunity to practice with another actor who understands the audition process.

My approach is collaborative rather than prescriptive. I'm not here to force one acting technique onto you or tell you there's only one correct way to play a scene. I want to help you explore the material, discover what works, and make stronger, more intentional choices.

These lessons are especially suited for beginners and developing actors who want practical experience, constructive feedback, and a supportive space to grow.
